UNDATED – No one should be alone for Thanksgiving.

That's why some area organizations are hosting free Thanksgiving dinners around the listening area.

The Sturgis American Legion will be providing a free Thanksgiving dinner for all veterans and family members starting at 12 PM and going until the food runs out. The Sturgis American Legion is located at 500 West Chicago Road.

In Colon, St. Paul's Lutheran Church will have a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 AM until 2 PM. Several Colon businesses, church members and the community donated to make this event possible.

In Bronson, Smitty's Pizza and the Bronson American Legion will be serving a free dinner at Smitty's from 11 AM until 2 PM for the first 300 people. Please call 517-369-1159 to pre-order for pickup or if you want to dine in or have a delivery. Deliveries will be made between 11 AM and 12 PM.

The Orland American Legion Post will be doing a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 AM until 3 PM at the Post, located at 6215 North State Road 327. Dinner will include Turkey and all the fixings. This is open to the public and donations will be accepted.
