Motorcycle strikes horse injuring Lagrange man


LAGRANGE – A LaGrange man was injured when his motorcycle struck some horses that were loose on U-S 20 east of Lagrange this morning.

53-year-old Truman Ritchie Jr. was riding his motorcycle east near 300 East when he encountered 5 or 6 horses loose on the roadway.

Ritchie was thrown from the cycle and ended up lying in the roadway. He suffered injuries to both legs and his abdomen. Medics transported him to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

The 3:35 a-m crash closed U-S 20 for about one hour.
