STURGIS – A 20 year old Sturgis man is facing multiple felony charges following a weekend incident.
Just after 5:30 PM Friday, Sturgis Police were called to a home in the 200 block of North Lakeview Avenue for a possible fight in progress. When officers arrived, they found a man who tried to leave after being told to stop.
The man left the scene, crashing into a police car. A brief chase ensued and the suspect was arrested after crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of Lakeview and Lafayette Street.
The man was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail. Assisting Sturgis Police were the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.
