New Sturgis superintendent listening to community

STURGIS – Sturgis Public Schools new Superintendent is wasting little time getting himself out into the community.

Art Ebert has been on the job officially since July 2 and since that time he has been meeting with the teachers and staff in the School District to get input from them and discuss issues facing Sturgis Schools.

Ebert says he wants to also meet with as many people as possible who live in the School District to find out what they think of Sturgis Schools.

Ebert says once they have the information, he and Assistant Superintendent Nicole Airgood and the Board of Education will look through it and determine what are the most important matters from short term to long term so they can do what's best for the kids).

The listening tour will take place during July and August. To schedule a meeting, you may e-mail Ebert at aebert at sturgis ps dot org, or you can call 269-659-1502.

The meetings are for individuals, families, organizations, clubs, businesses, places of worship or any other group willing to discuss the enhancement of the schools.
