DeKalb man accused of soliciting 12-year-old

AUBURN – Indiana State Police Detectives arrested 23 year old Ryan Hall of Auburn following a four month long investigation into allegations he solicited a 12 year old girl from Tippecanoe County for pictures and videos of her.

The investigation by Detective Jake Quick began back in March of this year when the parents of the victim found sexually explicit messages on her Facebook account.

It is alleged that Hall, in turn, asked for photos and videos from the victim. The investigation, which had the assistance of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff Department, Auburn Police Department and DeKalb County Sheriff Department was turned over to the DeKalb County Prosecutor's Office for review.

As a result of that review, the following charges were levied against Hall:

Two (2) Counts of Child Solicitation, Level 5 Felonies

Hall was also in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia when he taken into custody this afternoon. He was held in the DeKalb County Jail.
