STEUBEN COUNTY – A man and woman from the South Bend area face drug charges in Steuben County following a traffic stop on the Toll Road Monday morning.
Trooper Zarek Finley stopped a Ford truck near the Fremont toll plaza for an equipment violation at 2:15 a-m.
Finley smelled the odor of burnt marijuana and a search of the vehicle turned up more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, heroin, prescription pills and paraphernalia.
58-year-old Arnold Scott and 18-year-old Acasia Haynes of Mishawaka are held in the Steuben County Jail.
Scott is charged with dealing meth and possession of the other drugs as well as driving while suspended.
Haynes is charged with dealing meth and possession.
Bond is set at $80,000 each.
