Two arrested in meth bust near Lagrange


LAGRANGE – A traffic stop early Monday morning led to the arrests of two people on meth related charges.

A LaGrange County deputy stopped a vehicle near 5400 East U-S 20 at 12:22 a-m.

27-year-old Matthew Derbyshire of Pleasant lake was charged with dealing meth, possession of meth and marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and possession of paraphernalia.

31-year-old Amanda Engel of Defiance, Ohio was charged with those same charges plus false informing.

Both were taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
