Traffic stop near Shipshewana leads to drug charges


SHIPSHEWANA – A Shipshewana man was jailed on drug related charges Thursday evening.

A sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop just before 9 p-m at County Road 800 West and 750 North.

They say the driver – 55-year-old Thomas Blunt – had marijuana, schedule 2 and schedule 4 controlled substances, and paraphernalia.

Police say other drug related charges are pending lab results.
