Constantine council hears support for medical marijuana


CONSTANTINE – Public comments indicate overwhelming support for medical marijuana based businesses in Constantine.

Monday night the Constantine Village Council held a public hearing to discuss the medical marijuana ordinance. They wanted to get input on where to allow medical marijuana based businesses to operate, and how many should be allowed.

During the public hearing Three Rivers resident Andrew Dilldy says having the option of purchasing medical marijuana in Constantine would be a benefit for him.

Kyle Stahl, a chiropractor from Kalamazoo shared some of the benefits of medical marijuana.

The council voted unanimously to hold a special meeting December 12 to go over the updated resolution regarding medical marijuana businesses for Constantine, and decide where and how many businesses to allow.
