Friday night crash injures two Shipshewana women


SHIPSHEWANA – Two Shipshewana women were flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center following a crash on State Road 5 last Friday night.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department reported yesterday that Cristy Miller suffered neck pain. Her passenger – Ida Miller – suffered head, neck and lower back pain.

Their car was eastbound on County Road 200 South and allegedly disregarded the stop sign at State Road 5. A southbound pickup pulling a trailer struck Miller's car on the driver's door, pushing it off the west side of the highway.

The pickup went through a fence on the east side of the road, causing the trailer to overturn.

Kari Terhune of Marion was a passenger in the pickup and suffered head and back pain. She was treated at Parkvew LaGrange Hospital. A second passenger, who was not identified, was also treated at Parkview LaGrange.
