Orland Town Council Member Resigns

2017-09-12

The Orland Town Council has a vacancy on their board.

During the conclusion of Monday's Town Council meeting Charles M. Clark resigned from his position on the board. Clark did not go in details of his reasons, but said the he has "an opportunity" the he "couldn't pass up".

Since Clark is an elected republican, Orland town officials will work with the Steuben County Republican Party to find a republican from the town of Orland that can serve the remainder of Clark's term.

This will be the second elected republican position that is now vacant in the Orland area. After the recent passing of Howard Elliott, the Millgrove Township Trustee position is in need of being filled.
