Head on crash near Goshen injures three people

GOSHEN – Three people were injured when two vehicles collided head on in Elkhart County Friday afternoon.

34-year-old Dale Troyer of Goshen suffered severe cuts to the head and elbow but police said those injuries were not life-threatening.

Troyer was driving a pickup southbound on County Road 19 when an unknown vehicle disregarded a stop sign at County Road 26. Troyer swerved to avoid the unknown vehicle and ended up left of center. He struck a minivan driven by 41-year-old Francisco Lopez of Goshen.

Two passengers in the Lopez vehicle complained of pain following the crash.

Deputies cited Troyer for driving left of center and Lopez for never receiving a driver's license.
