Alleged drunk driver causes crash with U-turn on Toll Road


HOWE – Indiana State Police say a man attempting to make a U-turn on the Toll Road was intoxicated.

Trooper Daniel Burkey responded to a crash on the westbound side at the 125 mile marker in Lagrange County around 3 p-m Tuesday.

A pickup truck attempted to make a U-turn and pulled into the path of a Ford F-450 pickup.

58-year-old Michael Graeff of Akron, Ohio was driving the first pickup and tested more than three times the legal limit for blood alcohol.

He faces preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated and endangerment.

No one was injured in the crash.
