(PORTER TOWNSHIP) – A White Pigeon woman was among three people injured in a two vehicle crash in Cass County’s Porter Township.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says 30 year old Crystal Adkins of White Pigeon was driving east on U.S. 12 at 4:30 Monday afternoon, and was approaching the intersection of Baldwin Prairie Road. A southbound vehicle, driven by 86 year old Robert Morrison of Vandalia, failed to yield at the intersection and struck Adkins' automobile.

Adkins, her 5 year old son, and Morrison, were all taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Seat belts and child safety seats were used by the occupants of the vehicles and airbags did deploy.

Assisting deputies were the Porter Township Fire Department and the SEPSA Ambulance Company.
