Three Rivers Woman Sentenced In Catalytic Converter Thefts

(COLDWATER) – Sentence has been handed down to a Three Rivers woman for her part in the theft of catalytic converters in Branch County.

Branch County Circuit Court personnel say 33 year old Amber Carpenter was sentenced to between 17 months and five years after she plead guilty to two charges of larceny from a motor vehicle. A third count of larceny and a habitual offender sentencing enhancer were dismissed by the Branch County
Prosecutors Office.

She was credited with 227 days served in Branch County.

Carpenter is one of three people charged with the theft of catalytic converters between November 1 and December 23 of 2020 in Matteson Township.

Carpenter is currently at the Huron Valley Complex For Women in Ypsilanti. She was sentenced in St. Joseph County to ten years for possession of methamphetamine and for conspiracy to commit assault. She was also given a sentence of 17 months to four years for assault with a dangerous weapon.
