(SHIPSHEWANA) – One person was injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department says 20 year old Brenndon Way of Rome City was stopped at the intersection of County Road 1150 West and U.S. 20 in Shipshewana just before 9 AM Wednesday, waiting to turn east. Way says he looked in both directions and pulled out, but didn't see a westbound vehicle driven by 60 year old Betty Holmes of LaGrange, and struck her vehicle.

Holmes complained of pain and was taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Both Way and Holmes were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

Shipshewana Fire and Rescue and Parkview EMS assisted at the scene.
