(UNDATED) – A series of storms Wednesday afternoon moved through Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana, and left many without power.

Sturgis City officials say several of their customers are without electrical service. Crews are working to resolve these outages, but there is no time table for when the restoration will be completed. If you are a City of Sturgis electric customer and have an outage to report,
you can call 269-659-7255.

LaGrange County REMC says almost 2500 of their customers were without power briefly, but everyone has been restored.

Consumer's Energy says 89 percent of their customers have been restored in St. Joseph and Branch County. There are still just over 8500 customers without power in the two county area. No time estimate has been issued on when power will be turned back on.

Indiana Michigan Power is reporting 1168 of their power customers without service due to the storms.

Sturgis City officials say the crews are also replacing nine power poles along the hydro line, which may be causing some power interruptions as well.
