White Pigeon Approves Renewing Ambulance Millage

(WHITE PIGEON) – A millage renewal to pay for ambulance service in White Pigeon was renewed Tuesday during a special election.

Voters cast 102 YES votes and 26 NO votes to renew the millage, that asks for .35 mills for a four year period. That millage brings in just over $11,000 a year. The money goes to Life Care Ambulance, now known as Emergent Health Partners.

White Pigeon along with ten other communities in St. Joseph County, have millages that pay for ambulance service from Emergent Health Partners.

There are 1,242 registered voter in White Pigeon. 10.3 percent cast ballots in the election.
