(LANSING) – State Representative Steve Carra has been selected to serve on some influential House committees.

The Three Rivers Republican, who represents the 59th District, was appointed by Michigan House Speaker Jason Wentworth to serve as the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. This is a bi-cameral, statutory panel of the Legislature. They are responsible for legislative oversight of administrative rules proposed or adopted by state agencies.

In addition, Carra was also selected to serve on the Transportation Committee, the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Committee and the Financial Services Committee.

Carra says he is honored to have the opportunity to serve the State and local residents in these roles. Carra says he knows the important value outdoor recreation holds in our communities. He says he is also looking forward to digging into issues that come up in the Transportation and Financial Services Committee, since his background is in economics.
