(CENTREVILLE) – Charges have officially been filed against a man allegedly involved in a stand off with law enforcement authorities.

St. Joseph County District Court officials say 35 year old William Michael Wright is charged with first degree home invasion and a count of receiving and concealing stolen property.

On November 9, the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department was sent to a trailer park in Nottawa Township after receiving reports of shots being fired. The suspect tried to break into an occupied residence and fired off some shots before running away.

At 11:30 AM November 10, the Sheriff's Department was notified that an individual matching the description of the man from the trailer park was seen entering a burned out residence in the 27,000 block of Findley Road, and was believed to be armed.

The St. Joseph County Special Response Team was activated and responded to the scene. At approximately 7:30 PM, officers entered the house and took Wright into custody.

Court officials say Wright is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on November 24.
