Ebert Explains How At Home Transition Will Work

(STURGIS) – Starting Wednesday, all Michigan high school students will transition to at home learning for three weeks.

On Sunday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director Robert Gordon announced an epidemic order that will be in place for three weeks, running from November 18 to December 8. Part of the order calls for high school students to all go to online instruction.

During Monday's Sturgis Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert explained what the District will do, starting with the lower grades. ...... {LISTEN}.

All Option B students will continue to receive at home instruction.

Ebert says under the order, some high school students will still receive in person instruction. ...... {LISTEN}.

As part of the at home learning for high school students, Ebert says they will have full days of classes, but alternate them. One day they would have class hours 1, 3 and 5, and the next day class hours 2, 4 and 6.
