(FREMONT) – A Fremont factory will be closing down their operations by the end of the year.

Metaldyne has filed a WARN notice with the State of Indiana, saying they are making plans to permanently close at the end of 2020. They will release 63 employees in the first round of layoffs, on December 23.

This will include machine operators and general labor positions along with forklift operators, maintenance staff and tool room employees.

The remaining employees will be released by December 31.
