Suspect Arrested In Sturgis Shooting Incident

(STURGIS) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Sturgis.
Director of Public Safety Ryan Banaszak says on Wednesday, Sturgis Police obtained a warrant for an area resident on multiple charges related to this shooting. The individual is currently in custody in a neighboring county on unrelated charges. It's not believed any other individuals were involved in the incident.
On October 14 at 9:40 AM, Sturgis Police were called to the area of Williams and Jefferson Streets for a report of shots fired. Officers learned that multiple shots had been fired at a multi-unit residential building from a motor vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting, and police were able to identify a suspect vehicle based on statements from witnesses, along with security camera footage in the area.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
