(FREMONT) – Fremont Community Schools will have a two hour delay schedule on Wednesday for the next few weeks.

The delays will begin September 16 and run through the last week of October. This is being done to provide faculty and staff more time to plan and prepare lessons for both in person education and e-learning.

Fremont Superintendent Bill Stitt says the district is empathetic of the stress as staff continue to work through COVID 19. He says the goal is to provide the best educational experience for both in person students and the e-learning students. Adding the times will allow the faculty and staff to plan and prepare lessons.

Fremont is allowed to implement such a schedule because it is an Indiana performance qualified school corporation.

Middle School times on Wednesday will be 9:50 AM to 2:50 PM. Elementary and High School times will be 10 AM until 3 PM.
