(STURGIS) – One person was arrested following a two state chase that ended in Sturgis.

The Sturgis Police Department says they were contacted Tuesday by Indiana authorities about a suspect they were following that was coming into Sturgis. Officers met up with the Indiana officers, who followed the man into the parking lot of the Meijer Store on South Centreville Road.

The suspect ran from his vehicle into the store, but was arrested a short time later. He was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on multiple charges. Indiana officials are also pursuing charges against the man.
