(PLEASANT LAKE) – A Steuben County man has been arrested on charges of dissemination and possession of child pornography.

On August 18, the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. After investigating the tip, detectives served a search warrant on Monday at a residence in the 1000 block of West County Road 500 South in Pleasant Lake.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested 24 year old Zachary Fifer on three felony counts of dissemination of child pornography under the age of 12 and three felony counts of possession of child pornography under the age of 12.

Fifer is being held in the Steuben County Jail, pending a court date.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department; Angola Police Department; troopers from the Indiana State Police Post in Fort Wayne and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted with the investigation and serving the search warrant.
