(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools will hold a hearing for the proposed 2020-21 school year budget today.

During last week's regular meeting the Sturgis Board of Education received an overview of the budget. Director of Finance Ray Sterling shared that the biggest question Sturgis and other districts around Michigan are facing is how much they will receive in Per Pupil Funding from the state. ...... {LISTEN}.

Based on that figure, and the District's loss of 35 students for the upcoming school year, it equates to a loss of $1.6 million for Sturgis Schools.
