(FORT WAYNE) – A Rome City man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirsch II says 56 year old Tommy Gibson was given the sentence after he plead guilty to distribution of methamphetamine. Following his sentence, Gibson will have 5 years of supervised release.

Court documents say that in early 2018, multiple undercover purchases of methamphetamine were conducted from Gibson. On March 28, 2018, Gibson was indicted and ultimately plead guilty to the sale of 50 grams or more of meth.

The Noble County Sheriff's Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted the investigation.
