LaGrange County Requiring Masks In Public
By: Mike Stiles - Wednesday, June 17, 2020

(LAGRANGE) – With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, LaGrange County officials are taking steps to slow down the spread of the virus.

The LaGrange County Health Department says effective immediately, facemasks covering the nose and mouth must be worn in an indoor area open to the public, including public transportation and including van transports. Also, they must be worn in an outdoor public area where a distance of 6 feet from individuals outside of their household cannot be maintained; and a private indoor or outdoor area where a distance of 6 feet from individuals outside of their household cannot be maintained.

In addition to wearing masks, the public is also asked to continue washing their hands frequently with warm water and soap and to practice social distancing.

The LaGrange County Health Department continues to closely monitor the situation and will issue updates as appropriate.
