(UNDATED) – Health officials say there were 80 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Southern Michigan over the weekend.

According to the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency, there were 6 new cases of coronavirus in St. Joseph County. That makes 169 people who have tested positive and there have been 3 deaths in the county.

In Branch County, there were 73 new cases of COVID-19 detected. To date, 221 people have the virus, and there have been 2 deaths. There were no new cases of coronavirus in Hillsdale County. 171 people have tested positive for it and there have been 25 deaths.

The Michigan Department of Corrections says no new cases were reported at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater. So far, there are 793 inmates and 34 staff members with the coronavirus. There have been 23 inmate deaths at the facility.

In Cass County, there was 1 new case of COVID-19. That makes 102 people who have been diagnosed with the virus, and there have been 4 deaths in Cass County.

Around Michigan, 369 new coronavirus cases were reported, making 59,990 people who have tested positive. There were also 25 more deaths, which means 5,770 individuals have died from COVID-19.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says as of June 12, there were 44,964 Michiganders who have recovered from coronavirus.
