(STURGIS) – A drug bust in Sturgis Wednesday netted narcotics and paraphernalia.

The Southwest Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence in the the 400 block of Center Street. Officers found four men and one woman in the dwelling. A search of the house found methamphetamine, heroin, prescription pills and several used hypodermic needles.

Two of the men were arrested for violating their paroles and were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail. Detectives say they will request warrants from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office for the five individuals after they receive results from the crime lab.

Assisting the Enforcement Team were the Sturgis Police Department, the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department and the Michigan State Police.
