(CENTREVILLE) – St. Joseph County Prosecutor John McDonough's arraignment has been postponed.

McDonough was to be arraigned Thursday in St. Joseph County District Court. Court officials say the arraignment has now been moved to June 11 and will be held in Kalamazoo County District Court.

McDonough was arrested following an incident just after 7 PM May 11 in the 17,000 block of Lovers Lane in Lockport Township. The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department was called and found a black SUV parked on the north side of Lovers Lane, facing east. There was damage to the SUV and the property owner's fence.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was McDonough. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and having an open container in a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Cass County Jail.

McDonough has been the St. Joseph County Prosecutor since 2008.
