Sturgis Public Schools Prepare For Online Learning

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools is getting ready to finish the 2019-2020 school year in a different way.

With the announcement last week that all Michigan schools would be closed for the remainder of the school year, districts have had to come up with a distance learning way of teaching their students.

During a recent episode of “Trojan Talk”, Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert shared the timeline for Sturgis teachers to get their lessons ready. ...... {LISTEN}.

Seniors will go through the online learning until May 15.

Students who are in need of items to help them with the distance learning can get a Chromebook from the District. Letters have been sent out to let parents and students know when they can pick them up.

For those who may not have internet at their house, Ebert says Sturgis Schools is also working on that. ...... {LISTEN}.

If you or your child have any questions about the assignments, you can e-mail the son or daughter's teacher directly. Staff e-mails are available by going online. LINA. You can then search by name for the teacher or by the building they teach in.
