ELKHART – A head-on crash on Old US 20 west of Elkhart sent three people to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Elkhart County deputies say a GMC Envoy driven by 31-year-old Timothy Woods of Osceola crossed the center line and struck a Saturn drive by 20-year-old Briana Gonzalez of Elkhart.
Gonzalez was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries to her arm and chest. Her passenger – 19-year-old Lena Harmon of Elkhart – was also transported to Elkhart General with chest pain.
Woods was not injured but his passenger – 36-year-old Ashley Frazier – was treated at the hospital for pain to her arm.
Police cited Woods with driving left of center, driving while suspended-prior conviction, driving without a license or proof of financial responsibility, and a seatbelt violation.
