Nearly 500 new COVID-19 cases reported in Michigan

LANSING – As of Tuesday afternoon, there are 463 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Michigan.
That brings the statewide total to 1,791 cases of COVID-19, with 24 deaths reported across the state. The largest number of cases have been reported in the City of Detroit with 563. There have also been 8 deaths from COVID-19 in Detroit.
No cases have been reported in either St. Joseph or Branch Counties. However there is one case of COVID-19 in Hillsdale County and four in Calhoun County.
Health officials remind everyone to take precautions to help protect themselves during this time. Avoid close contact with people; especially if they are sick; wash your hands often with soap and water; cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze; and if you are mildly sick, stay home instead of going to the doctor.
