AUBURN – According to an electronic communication sent to parents in the DeKalb Central Schools District, a staff member with the district was diagnosed with COVID-19.

In the correspondence to parents, DeKalb Central Schools Superintendent Steve Teders said a staff member of the high school tested positive.

Teders said the staff member "has been self quarantined since last Tuesday”. He said the staff member’s last day at the high school was March 16.

Students were last in session at DeKalb Central Schools on Friday, March 13.

Teders says they were notified Tuesday morning about the test, the same day the staffer learned the results.
