LaGrange Co Commissioners close county buildings
By: Tim Murray - Monday, March 23, 2020

LAGRANGE – The LaGrange County Commissioners extended their emergency declaration this morning through April 6th.

The commissioners passed two emergency orders that will close all county buildings to the public and increase the amount of paid leave time for employees who become ill.

After 4 p-m Monday the county buildings will be closed and locked. Employees will still be working and available to the public by phone, email, or appointment.

Boards and commissions will be allowed to meet for essential business only and may meet by conference or video call. The meeting room is already restricted to ten chairs. Commissioners Larry Miller and Terry Martin had a message for county department heads. Unless they have business for that meeting, they need to stay away.
