23 new confirmed cases reported in Indiana today

INDIANAPOLIS – 23 news cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by Indiana health officials this morning.

That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 79.

The new cases involve residents of Allen (1), Boone (1), Floyd (1), Grant (1), Hamilton (3), Johnson (1), Lake (2), Marion (6), Shelby (1), St. Joseph (3), Tippecanoe (1), Vanderburgh (1) and Vigo (1) counties.

The LaGrange County Health Department issued the following update:

*At this time LaGrange County has NO ACTIVE cases of the COVID-19.

*If you are concerned that you may have the virus please call your family physician to be screened prior to arrival at the office. If you do not have a family physician you can call the LaGrange County Health Department at (260) 499-4182 extension2 or the Indiana COVID-19 hotline at (317) 233-7125 or toll free (877) 826-0011.

*If you are mildly ill please stay home until you are feeling better.

*For all emergencies please call 911.

*Continue social distancing (remaining 6ft away from others).*Do not hold non-essential meetings or gatherings.

*Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

*Avoid touching your face.
