LAGRANGE – LaGrange County Commission president Larry Miller signed a proclamation Wednesday declaring a local emergency in the county through March 25th.

The declaration appears to be a formality to allow the county to implement the county’s emergency management plan and coordinate any disaster aid that may become available.

It did not contain any limitations on travel or impose any closings on businesses and organizations.

At this time, county offices remain open.
