INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced Monday further steps to combat the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus.

They include:
• No in-person events of more than 50 people. Bars, nightclubs and restaurants closed to in-person patrons; takeout and deliver service only through March 31.
• Hospitals and surgery centers cancel or postpone elective procedures.
• State employees should maximize the use of remote work. Non-essential in-person meetings limited to 10 persons or less.
• Department of Workforce Development suspended rules requiring some unemployment claimants to appear at a Work One location for the next four weeks.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett has issued a "local disaster emergency." It includes limits on non-essential travel, movie theaters, entertainment venues, gyms and fitness facilities, and the closing of bars and nightclubs that do not serve food.
