Westview, Prairie Heights join growing list of closures
By: Tim Murray - Monday, March 16, 2020

LAGRANGE – Westview and Prairie Heights Schools decided to join other area districts in a prolonged closure due to the COVID-19 virus.

Westview announced Saturday that students will be in school today, Tuesday and Wednesday to give the community time to make necessary arrangements.

They will close Thursday and remain closed until April 20th. School officials plan to reassess the situation every week going forward.

Prairie Heights students will have a two-hour delay this morning and attend class today. The delay will give staff time to prepare educational activities and materials to send home with students...and allow students to collect any belongings they will need over an extended closure.

Prairie Heights will close Tuesday through Friday, April 10th. All school activities are canceled.

As announced last Friday, Lakeland students will be in class today and tomorrow as usual. No visitors will be allowed in the buildings. E-learning days are planned for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Lakeland students will have no school starting next week and return to classes April 27th.
