By: Mike Stiles - Saturday, March 14, 2020

CENTREVILLE – St. Joseph County Administrator Teresa Doehring and Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Erin Goff say St. Joseph County will be closing to the public all county departments within the Historic Courthouse and Annex 2 until further notice.

The Courts in the New Courts Building will remain open at this time, however, Deering is asking that all visits to that building be limited to essential business. She asks that you call ahead to ensure your business will still be taking place.

The closures will be evaluated regularly and adjusted accordingly, and affects only the following departments: County Administration; County Clerk and Register of Deeds; Treasurer's Office; Equalization; Veterans Services; MSU Extension; Drain Office; Parks and Recreation and GIS.

Most of the services provided by these departments can be accomplished online, by telephone, or e-mail. Departments will still be staffed during regular business hours. Please check individual department websites for additional information on hours of operation.
