LANSING – Michigan school students will get an extra long Spring Break.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that the state’s public and private schools will be closed effective Monday until April 6th.

The move to combat the spread of the Coronavirus after ten more cases were confirmed in the state yesterday.

Some schools had begun announcing weeks-long closures while others were training staff to possibly switch to online learning.
