UNDATED – Southwest Michigan Congressman Fred Upton announced his re-election bid yesterday.

Upton is Michigan’s 6th District representative and is expected to receive another challenge in the fall after being the target of Democrats.

Some pundits had thought Upton might join the growing list of Republicans who are retiring.
