TOPEKA – Topeka Firefighters battled a fire in a 40 by 120 foot quonset barn Saturday afternoon.

The call came in around 4:30 p-m on County Road 500 West at the farm of Melvin and Loretta Chupp.

Fire heavily damaged part of one of two quonset barns on the property that was used for storage of equipment and hay.
