Sturgis Police arrest Elkhart man on multiple charges

STURGIS – Sturgis Police arrested an Elkhart resident on multiple charges following a domestic assault Monday night.

Officers responded to the 300 block on St. Joseph Street just after 10 p-m. They found the persons involved in the 400 block of North Street. One suspect fled on foot but was apprehended.

A vehicle stolen from Three Rivers and a handgun were recovered.

A 29-year-old Elkhart resident was charged with possession of meth, possession of a stolen vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, removing a serial number from a firearm, and two other outstanding warrants.
