ELKHART COUNTY – Elkhart County deputies worked three crashes that resulted in injuries on Friday.

The first happened at 11:15 a-m on State Road 119. They say a semi driven by 21-year-old Yarnelle Macallister of Silver Lake attempted to turn into a driveway and into the path of a car driven by 42-year-old Stanley Christin of Portage, Indiana.

Christin was taken to Elkhart General with back, neck and head pain. His car flipped and suffered extensive damage.

Police cited Macallister for failure to yield.

At 11:45 a-m a car and SUV collided on State Road 13 a half mile south of U-S 20.

Deputies say the SUV was slowing for a buggy in its lane when the car driven by 19-year-old Rylee Stutsman of Middlebury rear ended it. Middlebury medics treated Stutsman at the scene for a cut to the head. 72-year-old Delmar King of Goshen was driving the SUV and was not injured.

At 5:16 p-m on State Road 15 and South Jefferson Lane a car struck the rear of an SUV before leaving the road and hitting a fence. The driver of the SUV – 36-year-old Becki Burkhead of Goshen – suffered neck pain but refused treatment.
