KENDALLVILLE – Kendallville Police released the identities of a woman and two children who were struck while crossing Main Street on Saturday evening.

30-year-old Dana Streich along with 6-year-old Gracelynn Streich and 7-year-old Sarah Plattner had the green light and attempted to cross the intersection when they were struck by a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Gary Lytle.

Dana Streich complained of pain to her left arm and body. Gracelynn suffered a cut to the forehead, a dislocated elbow and a broken arm. Sarah had pain to her face and leg.

They were taken by ambulance to Parkview Regional.

Lytle told police he was distracted by another vehicle and didn’t see the woman and children until it was too late.

He was taken to Parkview Noble for a blood draw and police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
