LAGRANGE – Lakeland Jr-Sr High School was placed on a “soft lockdown” this morning as police investigated a threatening note found in a restroom.
LaGrange County Sheriff’s deputies and Lakeland administrators determined that no viable threat existed.
Lakeland Principal Robert Albaugh said the note was found in a boys restroom by a student who turned it over to an adult. They, in turn, turned it over to Albaugh and the school resource officer.
The principal said they were impressed and thankful the student did the right thing and contacted adults after finding something of concern.
