ELKHART – A man wanted on a warrant for armed robbery was apprehended Sunday afternoon near Elkhart.

Elkhart County deputies spotted 31-year-old Danniel Jaramillo fleeing behind a home along US 33 near County Road 13.

The Elkhart County SWAT team was called in after Jaramillo fled into the home of a family member and refused to come out.

He eventually made a run for it but was taken into custody.

Bond for the criminal warrant was $250-thousand dollars but additional charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
